About The Role n
The Permit Isolation Officer ensures safe fixed plant isolations and oversees the permit-to-work system, managing permit issuance, monitoring, and closure. The role involves clear communication, accurate documentation, and strict compliance with safety procedures. Key responsibilities include hazard identification, risk management, and ensuring a safe work environment. This position suits those with isolation experience, a solid safety focus, and excellent teamwork skills.
KEY DUTIES n
n
Isolation of various areas of the fixed plant.
n
Issuing of permit to work certificates and associated high-risk permits.
n
Gas testing of confined spaces
n
Evaluation of JHA's or other forms of risk assessment.
n
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS n
n
Confined space entry ticket
n
Gas testing ticket.
n
Skills And Experience n
n
15+ years of experience work in mining industry.
n
Sound knowledge of isolation procedures
n
Knowledge and understanding of permit to work systems.
n
Evaluation of JHA's or other forms of risk assessment.
n
Gas testing of confined spaces.
n




Ability to develop isolation sheets
n
Able to read and interpret P&ID;'S
n
