We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable / Credit Control Officer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of both accounts payable and debtor management, along with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
n
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining supplier relationships, managing customer accounts, and supporting the finance function through accurate and timely processing.
Key Responsibilities n
Accounts Payable
n
n
End-to-end processing of supplier invoices
n
Supplier statement reconciliations
n
Preparation and processing of payment runs
n
Managing supplier enquiries and resolving discrepancies
n
Ensuring accurate coding and allocation of expenses
n
Maintaining vendor records and compliance documentation
n
n
Credit Control
n
n
Proactive collection of overdue customer accounts
n
Managing customer account enquiries and payment arrangements
n
Building strong relationships with customers to ensure timely payments
n
Reviewing credit limits and account statuses
n
Investigating and resolving account disputes
n
Maintaining accurate debtor records and reporting on aged receivables
n
n




General Finance Support
n
n
Account reconciliations
n
Assisting with month-end processes
n
Data analysis and reporting
n
Supporting the finance team with ad hoc duties as required
n
About You n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Minimum 5 years' experience in Accounts Payable and/or Credit Control
n
Strong knowledge of accounts payable procedures and debtor management
n
Excellent telephone communication skills with confidence dealing directly with customers and suppliers
n
Solid negotiation and relationship-building skills
n
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
n
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
n
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including functions, data analysis and reporting
n
Professional and customer-focused approach
n
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
n
