Century Engineering, a growing and energetic company at the forefront of key industries such as mining, defence and power industries are seeking multiple skilled Structural Welders for our day shift team (7:00am – 3:06pm).
About The Role n
As a Welder at Century Engineering, you will:
n
n
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
n
Utilise specialised tools like welding machines and cutting torches.
n
Collaborate with teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
n
Uphold safety standards and maintain an organised workspace.
n

What We're Looking For n
n
Proficiency in reading and fabricating from engineering drawings.
n
Ability to read understand and comply with Welding Procedure Specifications.
n
Strong welding skills with the ability to work to tight tolerances and proficiency with AS****** and defence codes a bonus.
n
Experience in MIG, FCAW, MCAW (proficiency with Metal cored process a major bonus due to this being our main process for
n
defence contracts).
n
Ability to self-inspect work to the relevant code and hold yourself to a high standard.
n
Commitment to safety and teamwork.
n
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
n
Must be in Australia and have the right to work full time.
n

PLEASE NOTE:




Candidates must pass a pre-qualification weld test and demonstrate competence in interpreting technical drawings. The pre-qualification weld test is as follows: 4G single bevel FPBW with the FCAW process.
n Candidates must demonstrate welding competency to multiple codes during this process.
