We have an exciting opportunity for a Geotechnical & Structural Engineer to join our team.

Contract Type: Full time, permanent

Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer, you will be a valuable member of the team responsible for providing technical expertise in the safe, compliant and efficient planning, design, review, and delivery of structural and geotechnical aspects of Metlen's large-scale solar farm projects.
n
As a Geotechnical & Structural Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Structural & Geotechnical Engineering n
n
Review geotechnical data, structural designs, and engineering deliverables.
n
Provide foundation, earthworks, and site development recommendations.
n
Identify risks and support optimisation of structural and geotechnical solutions.
n
Construction & Site Support n
n
Provide technical support for foundations, piling, earthworks, and construction activities.
n
Resolve site issues, review methodologies, and verify compliance through inspections.
n
Design Coordination n
n
Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
n
Support design reviews, value engineering, and interface management.
n
Quality & Compliance n
n
Ensure compliance with specifications, standards,



and regulatory requirements.
n
Support audits, inspections, quality documentation, and reporting.
n
Health, Safety & Setting n
n
Promote safe engineering practices and environmental compliance.
n
Participate in risk assessments, site inspections, and incident investigations.
n
Documentation & Reporting n
n
Prepare and review technical reports, assessments, and project documentation.
n
Maintain records and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders.
n
About You n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
n
Solid knowledge of structural and geotechnical engineering, including foundations, piling, earthworks, and solar projects.
n
Ability to review designs, assess site conditions, and recommend practical solutions.
n
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
n
Knowledge of Australian/New Zealand solar project regulations and industry standards.
n
Able to manage competing priorities, work collaboratively, and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
