The
Product Applications Specialist
provides first-line technical and application support for Leica Biosystems products across
Core Histology, Advanced Staining,



and Pathology Imaging portfolios
. The role is responsible for conducting product demonstrations, installations, validation support, and customer training for clinical and life science laboratories.
Working closely with customers and internal Sales and Service teams, the specialist delivers expert guidance on
product applications, workflow optimisation, and troubleshooting
.
The position requires a
strong understanding of anatomical pathology laboratory workflows
and a commitment to
delivering exceptional customer outcomes
.
Based in Queensland
, the role involves regular travel throughout Australia and New Zealand as required.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide high-level technical and application support to customers across Core Histology, Advanced Staining, and Pathology Imaging product portfolios.
Conduct product demonstrations, installations, validation support and customer training for customers, Sales and Service teams and other channel partners as required.
Provide expert consultation to customers on product selection, workflow optimisation, troubleshooting, and application of products within the pathology laboratory environment.
Participate in industry conferences, trade shows,



marketing activities and internal meetings which may include weekends on occasion.
Assist the Sales Team with technical aspects of tenders and quotations as required.
Essential requirements for this role include the following:
Bachelors Degree in Science, Medical Laboratory Science or related.
Previous
Applications Specialist/Technical Support Specialist experience in the Pathology or Life Science field
s.
Possess a
strong understanding of anatomical pathology laboratory workflows
, including
histology, immunohistochemistry, and digital pathology practices
.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and business systems such as SAP and Salesforce.com.
Must be in possession of a valid drivers license and passport and have own car.
