Fire Industry Training (FiT) and Master Plumbers are two PICAC-aligned Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) committed to empowering apprentices in the fields of Fire Protection and Plumbing. We are seeking a skilled
Language, Learning, and Literacy (LLN) Specialist
to join our team on a
part time
basis to provide essential LLN support to apprentices enrolled in
Certificate III in Fire Protection
and
Certificate III in Plumbing
.
This position is based at our Brunswick campus in Melbourne and offers a
flexible one-day-per-week schedule
with a
minimum 6-hour daily rate
. You will play a key role in enhancing the literacy and numeracy skills of our apprentices, ensuring they succeed in their training and future careers.
Key Responsibilities




Assess LLN needs and develop individualised learning plans for apprentices.
Provide constructive feedback to apprentices on their LLN progress.
Assist apprentices in improving their language, literacy, and numeracy skills in line with their coursework.
Collaborate with trainers to ensure the most effective delivery methods.
Manage LLN appointment scheduling with the administration team.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience in LLN support within vocational education, ideally in trade-related fields.
Relevant qualifications in Education, Language, Literacy, or related areas.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work closely with apprentices to address their learning challenges.
