Job Description
Roteq Australia is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Leading Hand to join our Field Service team in Bibra Lake, Western Australia.

This is a fantastic chance for an experienced mechanical professional to work across the full lifecycle of turbomachinery mechanical systems projects — from design, planning and installation through to commissioning, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
About the Role n
You will be responsible for:
n
n
Analysing and troubleshooting turbomachinery and mechanical systems
n
Carrying out routine maintenance and component investigations
n
Leading and supervising field service teams and assigned labour
n
Overseeing installation, commissioning, start-up, repair and maintenance activities
n
Providing technical advice to customers on operation, maintenance and overhaul programs
n
Monitoring engineering processes and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
n
Preparing detailed site reports, findings and recommendations
n
Building and maintaining strong customer relationships
n
Supporting quality improvement and continuous improvement initiatives
n
Identifying customer needs and potential sales opportunities
n
Promoting safe and environmentally responsible work practices
n
Experience & Qualification n
We are looking for candidates with:
n
n
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical qualification in
Mechanical/Electrical
Engineering,



or equivalent experience and education
n
Extensive experience with rotating equipment and turbomachinery
n
Experience with compressors, turbines, gearboxes, pumps and centrifuges
n
Hands‐on experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining Dry Gas Seals
n
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and rotating machinery
n
Experience troubleshooting industrial plants and equipment
n
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
n
Strong problem-solving, analytical and project management skills
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
Ability to develop positive relationships with customers, contractors, colleagues and management
n
A flexible approach to working across different sites, customers and operating conditions
n

Supervising and supporting field service team members

Coordinating work activities and project strategies

Ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to required standards

Participating in team and weekly Field Service meetings
