Established in ****, the company is involved in infrastructure and traffic management services and has delivered works across Adelaide.
The successful applicant will assist in key telecommunications civil works, ensuring safe and high-quality site operations and compliance with project and safety standards.
The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Assist with pit and pipe installation, trenching, backfilling and conduit placement for NBN and telecom infrastructure.
• Support fibre, copper and HFC cable hauling, internal wiring and MDU services.
• Carry out network build and removal works in accordance with project plans.
• Operate machinery and tools safely, including hydrovac excavation units and elevated work platforms.
• Perform routine cleaning, checks and basic maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Prepare and set up construction sites, follow NBN designs and engineering drawings.
• Ensure proper trench depth, alignment and compaction for compliance with standards.
• Set up and manage temporary traffic control schemes to maintain public and site safety.
• Supervise and coordinate site personnel and subcontractors, monitor and manage the quality of work,



and accurately report all relevant site activities.
• Record and report daily site activities, progress, incidents and material usage.
• Implement Follow WHS E policies, Protected Work Method Statements (SWMS), SOPs and company procedures.
• Use PPE and participate actively in toolbox meetings and safety briefings.
• Support asbestos-related work in line with ACM Class B Non-Friable Licence requirements (when applicable).
• Maintain strong focus on quality, safety, customer satisfaction and compliance with client expectations.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: • Minimum Certificate III in Civil Construction or similar.
• Minimum One year of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of NBN and telecommunications civil construction requirements.
• Ability to install pits, pipes, conduits and cable pathways.
• Basic understanding of fibre, copper and HFC cable hauling.
• Skilled in trenching, backfilling, compaction and site levelling.
• Ability to read and follow plans and engineering drawings.
• Experience using hydrovac excavation units and EWPs.
• Protected operation of tools and machinery with basic maintenance.
• Adaptability to different locations and site conditions.
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly.
• Time management and task prioritisation.
