The Empress & Wolf is looking for a Retail Sales Assistant to join our small, woman-owned and neurodivergent-owned business in Daylesford.
n
We're looking for someone with proven retail/sales experience, a strong work ethic, excellent people skills and the reliability to become an important part of our team.

Daylesford, VIC

Roster:
Fortnightly
n
Initial hours:
2–3 weekday shifts per week, generally 1pm–4pm, plus every second weekend
n
Additional hours:
More hours may become available after the initial training period
n

Pay:
Award rates, as follows:

Weekdays: $*****/hour, Saturday: $*****/hour, Sunday: $*****/hour, Public Holidays: $*****/hour.

Training: Comprehensive in-store training provided.

We welcome applications from Daylesford locals as well as people from surrounding regions including Ballarat, Castlemaine and Bendigo.

We're looking for a sales superstar who is comfortable being proactive, starting conversations, understanding what a customer needs and creating a genuinely memorable retail experience.

You're organised, detail-oriented and consistent, particularly when handling transactions, customer information, stock and administrative tasks.

Basic data entry systems

Experience with retail POS systems is essential.
Your responsibilities will include n
n
Providing warm, engaging and knowledgeable customer service
n
Proactively approaching customers and creating genuine conversation
n
Helping customers find products that suit their needs, interests and budget
n
Educating customers about our products and services
n
Driving sales through excellent service rather than pushy sales tactics
n
Operating our Point of Sale system
n
Processing sales and assisting with laybys
n
Following established processes for returns and refunds
n
Gmail and Google Calendar administration
n
Data entry and maintaining accurate records
n
Labelling products once pricing and coding has been completed
n
Merchandising and helping curate beautiful, engaging product displays
n
Keeping the store organised, clean and inviting
n
Working independently when required
n




Thinking on your feet and resolving problems appropriately
n
Communicating clearly with customers and the team
n
Eventually opening and closing the store independently
n
Experience and interests that would be a bonus n
We'd love to hear from you if you also have:

Merchandising or retail display experience
n
An eye for creating beautiful, interesting product displays
n
Experience in jewellery, crystals, wellness, spiritual retail or a similar workplace
n
A genuine interest in crystals, healing, tarot, spirituality or personal development
n
An interest in women's empowerment
n
Experience working in a small business
n
Strong administrative or data entry skills
n
n
You don't need to be an expert in crystals or spirituality. A willingness to learn is more significant. What matters most is that you are genuinely interested in helping people and are excited to learn about the products you're selling.
Training & progression n
You'll receive comprehensive in-store training before taking on the full responsibilities of the role.
