We're working with a well-established technology business to appoint a Senior Manager, Business Resilience & Continuity.
n
This is a newly significant leadership opportunity for a resilience specialist who can bring together business continuity, crisis preparedness, technology resilience and third-party risk into a cohesive enterprise-wide capability.
n
You'll work across the organisation to understand where critical services and dependencies sit, identify potential points of failure and ensure the business is prepared to respond when disruption occurs.
n
This is a role for someone who enjoys operating strategically while still being close enough to the detail to make things happen.
What you'll be doing n
You'll take ownership of the organisation's resilience and continuity agenda, working with senior stakeholders across Risk, Technology, Security and the wider business.
Your responsibilities will include: n

Develop and continuously improve the organisation's business resilience and continuity strategy
n
Establish consistent approaches to Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery and crisis preparedness
n
Work with business leaders to identify and understand critical services and operational dependencies
n
Assess the potential impact of major business disruptions and establish appropriate resilience measuresLead resilience testing, scenario exercises and crisis simulations
n
Identify weaknesses across technology, people, processes, data and external suppliers
n
Work closely with procurement and risk teams to strengthen third-party resilience
n




Develop meaningful reporting and metrics for senior leadership and governance forums
n
Provide expert guidance during audits, assurance reviews and regulatory engagements
n
Partner with Technology and Cyber Security teams to ensure business and technology resilience are aligned
n
Drive greater resilience awareness and accountability across the organisation
n
What we're looking for n
We're looking for someone who has already operated at a senior level within business resilience, operational resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery or crisis management.
You'll ideally have: n
n
Background within financial services, fintech, technology, SaaS, insurance or another highly regulated environment
n
Strong understanding of Australian regulatory expectations, particularly APRA CPS 230
n
Experience working with critical services, business impact assessments and resilience planning
n
Strong knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles
n
Experience running scenario-based testing and crisis exercises
n
Understanding of supplier, outsourcing and third-party resilience
n
Confidence engaging with senior executives and influencing stakeholders across a complex organisation
n
Experience supporting internal audit, external audit or regulatory reviews
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
n
Relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, CRISC, CISM or similar would be advantageous.
