Your responsibilities n
Farm operations
n
n
n
Plan and carry out seasonal work across the olive grove and vineyard, including pruning, irrigation, mowing, weed control, nutrition programs and harvesting.
n
n
Operate tractors, mowers and other farm equipment safely within your training and competency.
n
n
Monitor crop health and coordinate pest and disease management.
n
n
Work with specialist olive and vineyard advisers where required.
n
n
Organise harvest contractors, transport and processing or delivery arrangements.
n
n
Maintain records of farm activities, treatments, yields and costs.
n
n
Team leadership and estate maintenance
n
n
n
Allocate daily tasks to two farmhands, supervise work quality and provide practical guidance.
n
n
Complete routine maintenance and minor repairs within your skills, engaging qualified trades where required.
n
n




Maintain grounds, gardens, fencing, access roads and general property presentation.
n
n
Coordinate machinery servicing, irrigation repairs and preventative maintenance.
n
n
Obtain quotations, oversee contractors and manage purchases within approved budgets.
n
n
Maintain safe working practices and provide regular updates to the owner.
n
n
Event hall operations
n
n
n
Ensure the hall, toilets, entrances and surrounding areas are clean, maintained and ready for each booking.
n
n
Assist with furniture placement, venue setup, pack-down and grounds preparation.
n
n
Coordinate cleaning contractors and event suppliers as required.
n
n
Liaise with the owner and clients about access and practical venue requirements.
n
n
Check facilities and equipment before events and inspect the property afterwards.
n
n
Manage opening, closing and security arrangements.
n
n
Act as the on-site operational contact during events when rostered.
n
n
Schedule farming and maintenance activities around the event calendar.
n
About you n
You are practical, organised and reliable. You enjoy outdoor work,



take pride in maintaining a property and communicate clearly with staff, contractors and guests.
You will bring n

Proven experience in a commercial olive grove, vineyard, orchard or comparable horticultural operation.
n
n
The ability to plan seasonal farming activities and perform the practical work involved.
n
n
Experience operating farm machinery and maintaining irrigation systems.
n
n
Experience supervising staff and coordinating contractors.
n
n
Sound planning, budgeting and recordkeeping skills.
n
n
A skilled approach to clients, guests and suppliers.
n
n
A current driver's licence and relevant training or authorisations for assigned duties.
n
n
The ability to safely perform outdoor work, use equipment and move event furniture with appropriate equipment and assistance.
n
n
Experience with both olives and wine grapes will be highly regarded. Agricultural, horticultural or viticultural qualifications and estate or event venue experience are desirable.
