We're partnering with a well-known premium food manufacturer, part of a global group, to find a Credit & Billing Manager to lead their Accounts Receivable function. They supply thousands of businesses across the east coast, from independents to multi-site operators and national accounts. They're investing in how AR works and how it treats customers.

This isn't a set-and-forget role. The groundwork is done, the governance is in place, and the team is growing. What's needed now is a leader who can lift the team, sharpen the processes and own the function from end to end.

The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll lead a team across Melbourne, Sydney and Manila covering credit, billing, payment processing and new customer applications.
Day to day, you'll be: n
n
Coaching and developing your team so they own their work, solve problems and hold themselves accountable
n
Setting clear expectations, KPIs and workflows, and making sure processes are documented and followed
n
Managing the size and age of the debtors ledger through practical, customer-focused collections
n
Working with customers to resolve disputes,



review terms and keep good customers trading
n
Spotting recurring issues and working with Sales, Customer Service and Finance to fix them at the source
n
Strengthening credit policies and risk assessment, and backing your recommendations with data
n
Producing weekly AR and KPI reporting for senior stakeholders
n
Stepping in to support the team during peak periods
n
Who We're Looking For: n
You're a people leader first, with solid credit and AR experience behind you. Specifically:
n
n
Proven experience in credit management, collections or accounts receivable, with experience leading a team
n
A modern, relationship-led approach to collections. You'd rather pick up the phone and find a solution than send another reminder email
n
A track record of improving processes, with examples of what you changed and the results it delivered
n
Comfort working in a corporate environment with clear governance and controls
n
Experience with a major ERP (Business Central, NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP or similar)
n
Strong Excel skills; Power BI is a bonus
n
A degree in finance, accounting or business is preferred
n
n
Food or FMCG experience is a plus but not essential. If you've led a strong AR or credit team in another industry, we'd like to hear from you.
