Service Manager | Lead the Workshop. Drive the Business.
You know what a great automotive service business looks like. Here's your opportunity to help lead one!
A workshop running smoothly. Customers who trust your advice. A team delivering quality work on time. And you at the centre of it all—turning a busy day into a well-run operation.
The Flying Spanner is looking for an energetic, commercially minded
Service Manager
who wants to take ownership, lead from the front and make a visible difference.
With
potential earnings of $120,000–$150,000
, this is an opportunity to put your leadership, customer service and automotive knowledge to work in a pivotal role.
A role with real influence
You'll be the principal connection between our customers and our workshop, guiding the service experience from the first enquiry through to vehicle collection.
Your decisions will shape workshop productivity, customer satisfaction and business performance. Your ideas will help improve how we operate. And your leadership will help turn individual effort into team results.
If you're ready to move beyond simply keeping up with the day and start influencing how the day runs, this role deserves your attention.
What you'll take ownership of;
Lead the workflow:
Coordinate servicing, repairs and maintenance; manage bookings; and allocate work so jobs progress efficiently and finish on time.
Build customer confidence:
Provide clear advice, prepare and follow up estimates, keep customers informed and explain completed work in a way they understand.
Drive business performance:
Identify service and parts opportunities that meet customer needs,
follow up enquiries and keep work moving through the workshop.
Manage the details:
Oversee parts ordering, receiving and returns, maintain accurate stock records, and ensure invoices are ready for collection and payments are received on time.
Strengthen relationships:
Build positive supplier relationships and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Make the business better:
Improve processes, records and checklists, and contribute ideas that lift the customer experience and workshop performance.
Clear targets. A bigger opportunity to make your mark.
You'll work towards monthly KPIs across
sales revenue, parts gross profit, Google reviews and charged workshop hours
.
Those measures are part of the picture. Your broader contribution will come through the team you lead, the customer trust you build and the improvements you bring to the business.
Who will thrive here?
You're someone who brings energy, takes responsibility and enjoys getting people working towards a shared result.
You combine a professional, personable approach with commercial awareness. You can communicate clearly with customers, organise a busy workload and keep an eye on the details without losing sight of the bigger picture.
You're reliable, well presented and results driven, with a growth mindset and a genuine interest in delivering outstanding service.
Above all, you want to be a person the team can count on—and a leader who helps the business move forward.
Ready to make your mark?
If you're looking for meaningful responsibility, the opportunity to influence business performance and
$120,000–$150,000 in potential earnings
, we'd love to hear from you.
