Avokah Legal is looking for an experienced Senior Solicitor to join their growing boutique family law firm.
This is a fantastic prospect for someone who enjoys managing their own files, working closely with clients and helping junior lawyers develop their skills. We are looking for someone who can work independently, take initiative and be a supportive member of the team!
The position involves:
Managing family law matters from start to finish, including negotiations and court proceedings.
Providing clear, practical advice and maintaining strong client relationships.
Managing your own caseload and meeting billing targets.
Mentoring junior solicitors and reviewing their work.
Helping resolve complex legal and client issues.
Contributing to the day-to-day running and continued growth of the practice.

About you:
At least five years' post-admission experience in family law.
A recognised Australian law qualification and a current Queensland practising certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.
Confidence managing your own files and dealing with complex family law matters.
A consistent track record of meeting billing targets.
Experience mentoring or supervising junior lawyers.
Strong communication, organisational and client management skills.
Most importantly, you take pride in your work, communicate well with clients and colleagues, and are happy to take responsibility and help others when needed.
