The Business
Our client is the Australian arm of a large, privately owned global group, with a portfolio of household cleaning brands that are category leaders in Australian grocery and hardware. Woolworths Group is their second-largest customer and a clear growth priority.
The Role
This is a genuine whole-of-customer NBM role. You'll own the Woolworths Group business end to end Woolworths Australia, Woolworths New Zealand, Woolworths Online and Big W and set the strategy as Woolworths moves toward consolidating its buying across banners.
You'll sit in the senior sales team as the grocery channel leader, advising the business as well as running the account. It's a hands-on role: you'll lead range reviews, build opportunity and profitability cases, tell the category story to the customer, and manage the day-to-day yourself. There's a busy review calendar ahead, so you'll make an impact early.
About You
National account experience with Woolworths and/or Coles,



ideally including category management exposure
Commercially sharp comfortable building P&Ls;, trade investment and opportunity profitability without leaning on a big finance team
Solid category capability, you can lead range reviews and build a fact-based story yourself
Confident negotiator who builds trusted relationships from buyer to Category Manager level
Self-sufficient and resilient, you get things done without layers of support
Experienced Coles or Woolworths buyers/Category Managers looking to move supplier-side will also be considered
The Detail
Sydney-based, working closely with a Melbourne head office - expect regular trips to Melbourne (roughly monthly). Attractive package including car allowance and bonus.
