Full Time Role - Associate
We have an exciting Associate Solicitor opportunity for you to join our professional, supportive, and friendly firm.
Current admission to practice as a solicitor in any Australian state is required.
Candidates must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with valid work authorisation.
We are looking for someone with 3-5+ years PAE experience in the following areas:
preparation of Wills (complex and straight forward), Enduring Powers of Attorney, Appointments of Enduring Guardian
administration of Estates, including obtaining Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration, NCAT applications
conducting Contested Wills and Estates Litigation including Family Provision Claims, Rectification of Wills and Probate Litigation generally
A minimum of 3-5+ years active practice experience in contested wills and estates litigation is essential.
advising on Estate Planning
a working knowledge of and an understanding of complex testamentary trusts would be an advantage
developing and consolidating an up to date set of precedents
ability to use Microsoft products confidently
working knowledge of LEAP software an advantage
property law experience and / or family law also an advantage
The candidate will also have the following attributes:
ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
excellent written and oral communication skills
solid drafting skills (concise and current)
good time management and organisational skills
strong attention to detail
a mature and professional attitude
a positive and friendly manner
a good work ethic, taking initiative and be self-motivated
