We are looking for a skilled
Java Developer
with experience in Java development, JIRA, Scrum, and AI-assisted software development. The ideal candidate will build scalable applications, contribute to Agile delivery, and leverage AI tools to improve productivity, code quality, and problem-solving.
Location: Sydney
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain applications using
Java, Spring,



and Spring Boot
.
Design and implement scalable backend services and REST APIs.
Write clean, efficient, secure, and maintainable code.
Use AI-assisted development tools such as
GitHub Copilot or Generative AI
for coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Review and validate AI-generated code to ensure quality, security, and compliance with development standards.
Perform unit testing, debugging, and application support.
Manage user stories, tasks, sprint planning, and project updates using
JIRA
.
Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Support continuous improvement of development and delivery processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
Strong experience in
Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL, and database concepts
.
Hands-on experience with
JIRA and Agile/Scrum methodologies
.
Experience using or understanding
AI-assisted development and Generative AI tools
.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle, version control, testing, and secure coding practices.
