GO.FARM is an Australian-owned, high-conviction agricultural investor, developer and manager with a transparent purpose: to transform Australian agriculture.
We identify underutilised and undercapitalised agricultural assets and reimagine them through land use change, investment in people, and adoption of climate-smart technologies. Our investment decisions and operations are underpinned by our Responsible Agriculture Framework, which guides our stewardship of natural capital, people and communities.
About the role:
We're looking for a Technical Officer to join our Riverina team, supporting the health, productivity and performance of our almond and olive orchards.
Reporting to the General Manager – Riverina, this is a hands-on, field-based technical role supporting crop monitoring, pest and disease management, agronomic assessments and data collection to inform practical, evidence-based orchard management decisions.
In this role, you will:
Undertake regular pest, disease and crop-health monitoring across almond and olive orchards.
Prepare and circulate monitoring reports, observations and recommendations to support pest and disease management strategies.
Monitor and record crop phenology, tree development and seasonal performance.
Conduct crop and yield assessments to support harvest forecasting.
Coordinate and undertake soil, leaf, fruit and other crop sampling for analysis.
Complete technical assessments, including fruit sizing, maturity and quality measurements.
Participate in field walks, consultant inspections and technical reviews.
Work closely with farm teams to support the implementation of agronomic recommendations and best management practices.
Maintain accurate technical records,

analyse observations and communicate emerging issues to farm leadership.
Support high standards of farm hygiene, biosecurity, safety and environmental compliance.
Identify opportunities to improve crop monitoring, technical practices, systems and ways of working.
Build strong relationships with employees, contractors, consultants and external technical providers.
Other duties as required.
About you:
You're naturally curious, enjoy being out in the field and like turning observations into practical solutions. You take pride in doing things well, communicate clearly and are comfortable working closely with both operational and technical teams.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
A relevant qualification in agriculture, horticulture, agronomy or a related discipline.
A sound understanding of horticultural pest and disease identification and management.
Strong observation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
A willingness to ask questions, learn and continuously improve.
A commitment to safety, quality and high operating standards.
Why work for GO.FARM:
We're serious about building long-term careers in agriculture. You'll benefit from:
Real investment in your development, including 5% of your annual salary dedicated to learning
Flexibility through enhanced leave options, salary sacrifice opportunities, and competitive incentives
