We are seeking an experienced and motivated Café Manager to oversee the daily operations of Bloom by Nor in Port Macquarie. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong hospitality knowledge, excellent customer-service skills and the ability to manage a busy café efficiently.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate the café's day-to-day operations.
Lead, supervise, train and support front-of-house employees.
Prepare staff rosters and ensure appropriate staffing levels during busy periods.
Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain efficient service and consistent food quality.
Maintain high standards of customer service and promptly resolve customer concerns.
Manage reservations, dine-in, takeaway and delivery operations.
Monitor sales, operating expenses, labour costs and overall business performance.
Manage stock levels, place orders and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Control food and beverage costs, minimise waste and assist with profitability targets.
Ensure menu items, prices and service standards meet customer expectations.
Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, daily reconciliations and operational reporting.
Recruit, induct and train new employees when required.




Ensure the café complies with food-safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety, and other regulatory requirements.
Maintain the cleanliness, presentation and overall atmosphere of the venue.
Assist with promotions, customer engagement and initiatives to increase sales.
Respond to customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the café's products and services.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience managing or supervising a busy cafe or restaurant.
Strong leadership, communication and team-management skills.
Excellent customer-service and problem-solving abilities.
Sound knowledge of café operations, stock control, rostering and cost management.
The ability to remain organised and composed during busy service periods.
Knowledge of food-safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
Experience using POS and reservation systems.
A relevant hospitality or management qualification is preferred.
Availability to work mornings, weekends and public holidays as required.
