About the Rolen
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Infrastructure Engineer – Automation Specialist
to design, implement and support enterprise-scale container platforms, private cloud infrastructure and automation solutions within a complex technology environment.
n
This role will focus on automating the lifecycle of Red Hat OpenShift clusters, implementing end-to-end observability across OpenStack and OpenShift environments, and improving developer experience through automated tooling and streamlined delivery pipelines.
n
The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in infrastructure automation, container orchestration, cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), helping deliver secure, scalable and reliable infrastructure services.
Key Responsibilitiesn
n
Design, deploy, manage and automate enterprise-scale Red Hat OpenShift and OpenStack environments.
n
Automate cluster provisioning, configuration, scaling and lifecycle management.
n
Implement and maintain telemetry, monitoring and observability solutions across infrastructure platforms.
n
Configure monitoring agents, collectors and data pipelines to support infrastructure and application performance monitoring.
n




Develop and maintain automation scripts, Ansible playbooks and Infrastructure as Code solutions.
n
Implement and manage GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD.
n
Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines to streamline infrastructure deployment and operational processes.
n
Manage OpenShift operators, ingress/egress configurations, platform security and cluster operations.
n
Support Linux-based infrastructure and enterprise private cloud environments.
n
Improve developer productivity through standardised development environments and automated developer tooling.
n
Collaborate with technical teams to enhance platform reliability, security, scalability and operational efficiency.
n
Essential Skills and Experiencen
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
n
n
Proven experience designing, deploying and managing enterprise-scale container platforms, such as Red Hat OpenShift or production Kubernetes environments, or private cloud and virtualisation platforms such as Red Hat OpenStack.
n
Strong experience implementing telemetry pipelines, instrumentation, collectors and observability solutions across infrastructure environments.
n
Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure automation,



scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
n
Hands‐on experience with Ansible, GitOps, ArgoCD and CI/CD pipeline automation.
n
Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
n
Experience managing complex infrastructure environments with a focus on reliability, security and performance.
n
Excellent problem‐solving, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
n
Desirable Skillsn
n
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Dev Spaces or other cloud-based integrated development environments.
n
Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, OpenStack or Linux.
n
Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government infrastructure environments.
n
Security and Eligibility Requirementsn
n
Must have an active NV1 security clearance before commencing the engagement.
n
Must be comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with the ability to attend onsite when operational requirements arise.
