Senior Hydraulic Designer | Commercial Plumbing

Adelaide | Full-time | $111,000–$140,000 + super, depending on capability
IM Partners is recruiting for Connekt Plumbing, an established commercial plumbing contractor looking to strengthen its in-house hydraulic design capability.

If you are an experienced hydraulic designer who wants greater ownership of your work and closer involvement in how projects are actually built, this role is worth a conversation.

Rather than sitting removed from construction delivery, you will work directly with Connekt's Project Managers, Construction Manager and site teams. You will be able to resolve issues early, improve buildability and see your designs carried through from documentation to installation.

You do not need to already be a Design Manager or team leader.

We are equally interested in speaking with a strong Hydraulic Designer or Senior Hydraulic Designer who is ready to take more ownership and grow into a broader design leadership role.

What you'll be doing

- Design and document hydraulic services across commercial construction projects
- Prepare and coordinate drawings, layouts, set-outs and as-built documentation
- Work in Revit, AutoCAD and other relevant design and modelling platforms
- Coordinate hydraulic services with architectural, structural and other building services documentation
- Work directly with Project Managers and site teams to resolve design and constructability issues
- Interpret specifications, drawings and technical requirements
- Apply the NCC,



Australian Standards and relevant hydraulic requirements
- Help improve Connekt's design standards, templates and systems
- Contribute to the development of the internal design function as the business grows

We would like to hear from people with practical experience in hydraulic services design, drafting or BIM within commercial construction or building services.

Robust Revit, AutoCAD or comparable hydraulic design capability will be highly regarded.

A plumbing or construction background can be an advantage, but it is not essential. Likewise, you do not need to tick every qualification box if you have demonstrated hydraulic design capability and understand how building services come together.

A remuneration package of $111,000–$140,000 + super will be considered depending on experience and capability.
