At Vibe Hotel Darling Harbour, we're looking for an energetic and hands-on Assistant Food & Beverage Manager (part-time) to help lead our vibrant food and beverage operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging hospitality leader with a strong background in bars, beverages, cocktails and team leadership to make their mark in one of Sydney's most dynamic hotel environments.

About the Role
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you'll be a hands-on leader across our bar, restaurant and conferencing operations, ensuring exceptional service standards while inspiring your team to deliver memorable guest experiences every day.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on the floor rather than behind a desk. You'll be visible, guest-focused and ready to jump in wherever needed, whether that's crafting cocktails, supporting a busy service,



coaching team members or leading an event.
What You'll Be Doing

Leading day-to-day bar and beverage operations across the venue
Driving exceptional guest experiences and service standards
Coaching, mentoring and developing Food & Beverage team members
Supporting restaurant, bar, room service and conferencing operations
Managing guest feedback and resolving issues with professionalism and care
Assisting with rostering, labour management and team performance
Maintaining beverage quality, presentation and service consistency
Supporting stock control, ordering, inventory management and stocktakes
Working closely with the Kitchen, Front Office and Sales teams to deliver seamless events and functions
Contributing ideas to improve service, revenue and operational efficiency
Unrestricted Australian working rights with no sponsorship requirement

About You
You'll bring a genuine passion for hospitality and a strong understanding of contemporary bar operations.
You'll ideally have:

Previous leadership experience in a hotel bar, restaurant, venue or hospitality environment

Robust beverage knowledge, including wine, spirits, cocktails and coffee




Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
A hands-on leadership style and passion for guest service
Sound commercial awareness and understanding of labour and stock controls
Current RSA certification
Food Safety Supervisor Certification or willingness to obtain
Flexible availability to work across a rotating 7-day roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
Unrestricted Australian working rights with no sponsorship requirement
