Senior / Lead Reinforcement Scheduler – Rebar Scheduling Sydney | Major Building Projects | Critical Senior Appointment

We are working with a highly regarded, Australian-owned engineering consultancy seeking an experienced Senior or Lead Reinforcement Scheduler to join its Sydney team.

This is a critical appointment focused specifically on reinforcement scheduling and rebar scheduling. The consultancy has a strong pipeline of major building projects and requires someone who can independently interpret complex structural documentation and prepare accurate, practical and construction-ready reinforcement schedules.

While experience with Tekla Structures would be beneficial, it is not essential. The priority is finding someone with substantial hands-on experience in reinforcement scheduling who understands how reinforced concrete structures are detailed, fabricated and constructed.

The Opportunity You will take responsibility for preparing and coordinating reinforcement schedules across a variety of large and technically complex
reinforced concrete projects, potentially including:

- High-rise residential and mixed-use developments
- Multi-storey commercial buildings
- Hospitals and healthcare facilities
- Schools and educational projects
- Data centres
- Major commercial and industrial structures

Working closely with structural engineers, detailers, builders, reinforcement suppliers, fabricators and site teams, you will ensure reinforcement requirements are scheduled accurately, efficiently and in a way that is practical to manufacture and construct.

Key Responsibilities Your role will include:

- Producing detailed and accurate reinforcement and rebar schedules
- Reviewing structural drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Interpreting reinforcement requirements for slabs, beams, columns, walls, cores, footings,



pile caps, transfer structures and other reinforced concrete elements
- Preparing bar bending schedules, bar marks, cutting information, quantities and material take-offs
- Checking bar shapes, lengths, laps, couplers, quantities and reinforcement arrangements
- Identifying discrepancies, missing information and potential constructability issues
- Resolving reinforcement congestion and scheduling challenges in collaboration with engineers and project teams
- Coordinating with builders, fabricators, reinforcement suppliers and site personnel
- Managing scheduling packages across multiple projects and deadlines
- Undertaking detailed quality assurance checks before schedules are issued
- Providing technical guidance and support to junior schedulers and detailers
- Helping improve internal scheduling procedures, standards and quality systems

About You We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced reinforcement schedulers who can confidently manage complex packages with minimal supervision.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Extensive experience in reinforcement scheduling, rebar scheduling or bar scheduling
- Senior or lead-level capability within reinforced concrete construction
- Strong experience preparing bar bending schedules and reinforcement quantities
- The ability to interpret complex structural engineering drawings and specifications
- A detailed understanding of reinforced concrete construction, fabrication and placement




- Knowledge of Australian reinforcement detailing requirements and relevant standards
- Experience scheduling reinforcement for large-scale building or infrastructure projects
- Strong checking, quality assurance and problem-solving capabilities
- The ability to identify reinforcement conflicts, congestion and buildability issues
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence managing competing project deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with engineers, builders, suppliers and site teams
- Experience mentoring or reviewing the work of more junior team members

Experience with Tekla Structures would be highly regarded, but it is a nice-to-have rather than an essential requirement. Candidates with robust reinforcement scheduling expertise gained through other systems or established scheduling processes are strongly encouraged to apply.
