As the business continues to service existing clients and undertake new projects, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician (General) to support the installation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and associated fire protection equipment.

The successful applicant will work with the project team to ensure electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with relevant technical specifications, electrical regulations and industry standards.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician (General) to join our team on a full-time basis at Matraville, NSW 2036, with work undertaken at client premises and project sites as required.

Position Responsibilities and Tasks
The successful applicant will be responsible for:

- Examining electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, plans and specifications to determine the requirements for electrical installations.
- Installing, maintaining, testing and repairing electrical wiring, electrical equipment, control systems and associated components.
- Measuring,



cutting, assembling, installing and connecting electrical cables, wires, conduits and related fittings.
- Installing and connecting electrical components associated with fire detection and alarm systems, including power supplies, control panels, field devices and associated equipment, where appropriate to the electrical scope of work.
- Assisting with the installation and connection of electrical components for Emergency Warning and Intercommunication Systems (EWIS) and other relevant emergency warning systems.
- Installing, testing and maintaining electrical circuits and equipment associated with new fire system installations, retrofits and upgrades.
- Testing electrical circuits, connections and installations using appropriate electrical testing instruments to verify safe and correct operation.
- Diagnosing electrical faults, identifying defective components and carrying out the necessary repairs or replacements.
- Inspecting electrical installations and equipment to identify faults, deterioration, hazards and non-compliance with applicable requirements.
- Connecting electrical equipment and systems to power supplies and verifying that installations operate in accordance with technical specifications.
- Performing preventative maintenance and repair work on electrical equipment and associated fire protection system components.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, installation plans and manufacturer specifications to ensure work is completed accurately.
- Identifying electrical hazards and implementing appropriate workplace health and safety procedures when undertaking installation, testing and maintenance activities.
- Maintaining records of electrical work, testing results, repairs, inspections and maintenance activities.
- Ensuring work complies with applicable electrical legislation, Australian Standards,



site requirements and relevant safety procedures.
- Assisting with commissioning activities and identifying installation defects before handover, within the scope of the applicant's qualifications and authorisations.

Qualifications and Skills
The successful applicant should possess:

- A relevant electrical trade qualification,
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault diagnosis.
- Practical knowledge of electrical wiring, electrical circuits, control panels, circuit protection and electrical equipment.
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
- The ability to use electrical testing instruments and diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
- Knowledge of electrical safety requirements and relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000 where applicable.
- Familiarity with fire detection and alarm systems, EWIS and associated electrical installations would be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate technical records.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively with project teams and other trades.
- A commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and compliance with relevant regulations.

Salary and Employment Conditions
The position offers a remuneration package of $80,000 to $100,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications, skills, experience and technical expertise.

The successful applicant will be required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week on a full-time basis.
