Client-Side Project Manager

Position Description:

This client‑side Project Manager role sits within a small, highly trusted consultancy delivering project management, superintendency, development advisory and independent certification services. The team manages a strong pipeline of built‑form projects generated almost entirely through repeat clients and word‑of‑mouth, with current work spanning childcare, community housing, offices, QSR, apartments, fitouts, cladding replacements and more.

With senior leaders stretched across ~20 active projects, they need someone who can step in and immediately relieve pressure - taking on site visits, managing stakeholders, dealing confidently with trades and consultants, and independently progressing project delivery. You’ll be trusted to represent the business and its owners professionally, uphold their reputation, and maintain the high standards that keep clients returning.

You’ll work closely with experienced PMs who value honesty, communication and efficiency, including a Director known for his practical mentorship. This is a flexible, supportive environment where personality, integrity and capability matter more than formal qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day‑to‑day project delivery across multiple built‑form projects
- Attend site regularly and engage confidently with trades and stakeholders
- Support superintendency duties and contract administration
- Assess delays, variations and documentation (EOTs, NODs, claims)
- Prepare reports, minutes and progress updates
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and client communication




- Represent senior PMs professionally and uphold project standards
- Contribute to efficient workflows and problem‑solving across the team

About You:

- 3–5+ years’ experience in construction, project management or site‑based roles
- Comfortable on site and confident dealing with trades and contractors
- Strong communicator who can represent senior leaders and the business well
- Honest, reliable and willing to admit when you don’t know something
- Experience with contract administration, delays and claims (advantageous)
- Open to working across a wide mix of asset classes
- Able to back up your experience with real examples
