Based in Sydney, you will work closely with senior leadership, dealership management and our finance and insurance partners to strengthen commercial outcomes, improve customer experience and support the continued growth of our business.

About the role

Reporting to senior management, you will oversee the performance and development of Business Managers across NSW and Victoria, ensuring our finance, insurance and aftermarket offerings deliver strong commercial results while maintaining high standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Lead, coach and develop Business Managers across multiple dealerships in NSW and Victoria.
- Establish clear performance expectations, monitor key KPIs and drive accountability for results.
- Identify performance gaps and implement targeted coaching, training and improvement plans.
- Build a high-performing team culture focused on professionalism, customer satisfaction, compliance and commercial success.
- Work closely with Dealer Principals, General Sales Managers and dealership leadership to integrate F&I; into the broader vehicle sales operation.

Financial institution and insurer partnerships

- Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, automotive financiers, insurance providers and other F&I; partners.
- Negotiate and review commercial arrangements, finance products, insurance offerings and dealer support opportunities.

- Work with finance partners to improve approval outcomes, product penetration, customer value and overall dealership performance.
- Lead F&I; training and maintain effective working relationships with financiers and insurance providers.
- Monitor market developments, lender policies and product changes to identify opportunities and manage emerging risks.

Commercial strategy and business growth

- Develop and execute strategies to improve finance and insurance penetration, profitability and aftermarket performance.
- Analyse dealership and group-level results, identifying trends, opportunities and underperformance.
- Prepare performance reports, forecasts and budgets to support business planning and decision-making.
- Develop consistent processes, reporting standards and best-practice initiatives across the dealership network.
- Collaborate with sales and aftersales teams to improve product offerings, customer engagement and revenue opportunities.

Compliance, risk and customer experience

- Ensure finance and insurance activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, lender policies and internal procedures.
- Maintain appropriate controls, documentation standards and risk management practices.
- Promote responsible finance and insurance practices, transparent customer communication and high service standards.
- Monitor customer satisfaction measures, including MSI, and implement initiatives to improve the customer experience.

About you

You are a proven automotive F&I; professional who combines strong commercial judgement with the ability to lead people, influence stakeholders and improve performance across multiple sites.

To be successful, you will bring:

- Extensive automotive F&I; experience, ideally 5+ years as a Finance & Insurance Manager, Business Manager or in a senior F&I; leadership role.
- Demonstrated people leadership capability, including experience coaching,

mentoring or managing multiple Business Managers across dealerships or locations.
- Established financier and insurer relationships, with the credibility to engage senior representatives, negotiate commercial outcomes and develop productive partnerships.
- Solid commercial acumen, with a solid understanding of F&I; penetration, product performance, profitability, lender relationships and dealership KPIs.
- A track record of improving results, developing team capability and implementing effective processes across a dealership or dealer group.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret financial performance, identify trends and translate data into practical action.
- A strong compliance mindset, with a sound understanding of automotive finance and insurance requirements and responsible customer practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to work with senior management and dealership leaders.
- A customer-first approach and a genuine commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction.

A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related discipline will be viewed favourably, although relevant industry experience and demonstrated results are equally important.

Why join Harmony Auto?
