A One Earthworks is an established civil earthworks contractor delivering bulk earthworks, roads and civil infrastructure across regional Australia.

We self-perform our earthworks using our own people and plant, giving our engineers direct exposure to construction delivery and the opportunity to work closely with Supervisors, Surveyors, operators and project leaders on the ground.

With a strong pipeline of upcoming work, we are looking for experienced Site Engineers and Project Engineers to join our operations team.

About the Roles

These are hands-on engineering positions supporting the delivery of bulk earthworks and civil infrastructure projects across regional NSW, ACT and SA.

We are looking for Site and Project Engineers with experience across bulk earthworks, subdivisions/land development, renewable energy projects including solar and wind, roads or heavy civil infrastructure.

Site Engineers will focus on day-to-day site coordination, quality assurance, technical delivery and construction support.

Project Engineers will take broader ownership across planning, commercial management, procurement, programming and client coordination.

The roles operate on a 10 days on / 4 days off FIFO/DIDO roster.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver bulk earthworks and civil construction packages
- Coordinate daily works with Supervisors, Surveyors and site crews
- Manage QA including ITPs, lot records, testing and NCRs
- Interpret drawings, specifications and technical requirements
- Monitor progress, quantities, productivity and program
- Assist with RFIs, procurement, reporting and project close-out

Additional Project Engineer Responsibilities

- Assist with project commercial management including cost tracking and variations
- Coordinate procurement activities and subcontractor management




- Monitor project budgets, forecasting and productivity performance
- Support delivery against contractual milestones and program targets
- Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships

Selection Criteria

- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 2+ years’ civil construction or heavy infrastructure experience
- Demonstrated experience in bulk earthworks and/or subdivisions
- Experience with self-performing civil contractors highly regarded
- Solar, wind or other renewable infrastructure experience highly regarded
- Strong QA and technical documentation experience
- Strong understanding of construction methods, specifications and project delivery
- Confident working directly with Supervisors, Surveyors and field crews
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project Management systems
- Proactive, detail-focused and able to take ownership of works
- White Card and current Australian Driver Licence
