Railway Terrace Medical Practice is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our very busy team. We are located in Merrylands offering services both in person and online to provide optimum healthcare to patients unable to attend in person. We are excited to add an experienced Medical Receptionist to our team who will be working alongside our administrative and practitioner team. We host a team of 5 practitioners, 2 working per shift ranging in modalities from, GPs, a Psychologists, Nurses and more. You will be joining a energetic and passionate team of healthcare professionals.

Medical Receptionist Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our amazing reception team in supporting the daily functions of the clinic, including practitioner and patient needs.

- Appointment Management

- Billing Processes both Medicare and Workers Compensation

- Client Support

- Client Greeting and Communications

- Practitioner Support and Correspondence

- File Management

- Administrative Management





- Medicare and Private billing

- Workers Compensation billing

Medical Receptionist Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum 1 year Medical Reception experience

- Experience using Best Practice software

- Experience in customer service administrative role

- Strong customer service skills - demonstrated patient-focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Well-presented, friendly and courteous

- Work cooperatively and independently

- High level of flexibility

- Ability to adapt to different clients

- Great written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize

- CPR and First Aid Certification

- Medicare billing, batching preferred

- Experience using Hicaps & Tyro terminals

Work Hours

The role will require commitment of 32 hours per week, working 4 days a week, no weekend work.
