This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who is confident behind the coffee machine and also comfortable managing the day-to-day operations of a busy cafe.
Key responsibilities
- Preparing high-quality coffee and beverages
- Providing friendly and efficient customer service
- Managing daily cafe operations
- Opening and/or closing the cafe
- Supervising and supporting staff
- Managing staff rosters and daily workflow
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders when required
- Maintaining cleanliness, presentation and food safety standards
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Helping maintain a positive and organised work environment
About you
- Previous barista experience is essential
- Previous cafe management or supervisory experience is highly regarded
- Confident with coffee preparation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, organised and able to take initiative
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced environment
- Available to work weekends when required
