Machine Operator | Automated Steel Manufacturing

Experienced with automated machinery, CNC equipment or steel processing? Bring your technical skills and mechanical aptitude to a role producing steel reinforcement cages for construction foundations.

We are seeking an experienced Machine Operator to operate a GAM 1500 HS Hybrid automated robotic welding machine. This hands-on role will suit someone who enjoys setting up machinery, solving production issues and delivering consistent, high-quality results.

About the role

You will oversee the production process from machine setup through to finished product checks. Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting up and operating automated machinery to meet production specifications.

- Adjusting machine settings for different cage sizes and production requirements.

- Monitoring the automated welding process to maintain consistent output.

- Checking finished cages for accurate dimensions, spacing and weld quality.

- Identifying machine faults and assisting with basic troubleshooting.

- Meeting production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards.

About you

You bring practical machine operating experience, a strong mechanical mindset and pride in the quality of your work.

We are looking for:





- Previous experience operating automated industrial, CNC or steel processing machinery.

- Confidence setting up equipment and adjusting operating parameters.

- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.

- The ability to read and interpret production drawings or specifications.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality control.

- A reliable approach, strong safety awareness and the ability to work effectively within a production team.

Experience with the GAM 1500 HS Hybrid is not essential. Relevant experience with other automated machinery will be considered.
