An exciting chance exists within the Emergency Management team of the South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission to contribute to high-level policy, governance and strategic decision-making across South Australia’s emergency management sector.
The Governance Officer, Emergency Management and Resilience, prepares high-quality national and state committee papers, ministerial briefings, Cabinet submissions and strategic advice for key decision-making bodies. The role analyses complex emergency management policy issues, develops jurisdictional positions, and supports legislative, policy and framework reform through established governance processes. Working collaboratively across government, the Governance Officer ensures senior leaders and decision-makers receive timely, accurate and evidence-based advice and documentation to advance South Australia’s emergency management priorities
