We’re looking for a commercially minded Estimator to join a growing project delivery team on the Gold Coast, pricing refurbishment, fit-out, minor capital works and multi-trade construction projects.

About the Role
Working across a varied portfolio of commercial projects, you’ll be responsible for preparing estimates and reviewing project scopes, labor requirements, materials and subcontractor pricing to ensure each job is costed accurately and delivered with the right commercial outcomes. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients to develop competitive pricing, identify cost efficiencies and support the successful delivery of projects. Projects will include commercial refurbishments, fit-outs, defits, minor capital works, reactive works and multi-trade packages.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for refurbishment, fit-out, defit and multi-trade construction projects.
- Review drawings, scopes of work, specifications and site information to determine project requirements.
- Conduct take-offs and calculate labor, materials, equipment and subcontractor costs.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.




- Identify project risks, exclusions, variations and potential cost overruns during the estimating process.
- Ensure estimates align with commercial targets, project budgets and required gross margins.
- Liaise with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure a smooth handover from estimating to project delivery.
- Maintain accurate estimating records, pricing schedules and project documentation within CRM and project management systems.
- Develop and maintain solid relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to support competitive pricing and reliable project delivery.
- Respond to client enquiries and assist with tender submissions, quotations and follow-up opportunities.

Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Estimator within construction, refurbishment, fit-out, facilities management or a related trade-based environment.
- Strong construction knowledge, ideally supported by trade experience or hands-on site exposure.
- Experience estimating multi-trade projects, including labour, materials, subcontractor costs and project overheads.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work and site requirements.
- Strong understanding of trade costs, construction methodologies and project delivery requirements.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills,



with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers, clients and subcontractors.
- Proficiency in Excel and estimating, CRM or project management software.

Ideally, You Will Also Have
- Experience in commercial facilities management, reactive maintenance or minor capital works.
- An established network of subcontractors and suppliers across the Gold Coast and South East Queensland.
- Experience pricing projects in live or occupied commercial environments.
- Knowledge of building compliance, certification and commercial construction handover requirements.
- Experience with high-volume estimating across multiple small-to-medium projects.
- A background in carpentry, building, construction supervision or another relevant trade.
