Optio6 Talent Partners is partnering with this established Sunshine Coast law firm again for this new role, seeking an experienced litigation lawyer, ideally with 5-15 years' PQE, to join its growing team.

The opportunity
Working closely with the Directors, you'll take carriage of a varied civil and commercial litigation practice, combining autonomy with access to experienced colleagues and support on complex matters.

Depending on your experience and the practice's needs, your matters may include:

- Contractual disputes and breaches of contract.
- Building and construction disputes.
- Property and debt disputes.
- Defamation.
- Copyright and trademark infringements.
- Land resumptions.

You'll guide clients through their options, develop case strategy, draft court documents, brief Counsel and experts, and manage matters through negotiation, dispute resolution and court proceedings.

The approach is practical and commercially focused, with an emphasis on achieving effective outcomes while keeping clients informed and supported.

About you
You're an experienced litigator who combines sound legal judgement with a practical approach to resolving disputes. You communicate clearly, build trust with clients and take pride in managing matters well.

Ideally, you'll bring:

- Approximately 5-15 years' PQE, with substantial civil and/or commercial litigation experience.
- Eligibility to hold a Queensland practising certificate.
- Confidence managing your own files and competing priorities.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and case management skills.
- A collaborative approach and an interest in contributing to the practice's continued growth.
