About the Position

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Venue Manager to take full ownership of a busy, high-volume hotel and hospitality operation in Bendigo. Offering a $130,000 total package, you will oversee all aspects of the venue, leading teams across accommodation, food & beverage, gaming, bar and functions. You will drive performance, maintain high operational standards and deliver exceptional guest experiences while developing a strong, engaged team. Ideal for a hands-on hospitality leader with proven experience across hotel, gaming and F&B; operations who thrives on full venue accountability.

Position Description

- Lead and manage the entire venue across accommodation, F&B;, bar, gaming and functions
- Drive operational performance, profitability and key financial targets
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring high standards of service, presentation and compliance
- Lead, coach and develop department managers and frontline teams
- Manage rostering,



labour costs and overall resource allocation
- Ensure full compliance with liquor licensing, gaming regulations, RSA/RSG, WHS and venue policies
- Deliver outstanding guest experiences and professionally resolve any issues
- Oversee functions, events and conference delivery
- Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement across the venue
- Maintain strong relationships with guests, staff and group leadership

Position Requirements

- Proven experience as a Venue Manager, General Manager or similar in a multi-faceted hotel or large hospitality venue
- Strong background across hotel operations, food & beverage and gaming
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams while driving results and accountability
- Solid financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour and P&L;
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Current Victorian RSA and RSG (or willingness to obtain) essential; relevant gaming and liquor licensing knowledge required
- Ability to work a flexible roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Hands-on leadership style suited to a busy regional venue
