South Eastern Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Day Oncology Unit team. In this part-time or casual role, you will be providing high-quality, compassionate care to our oncology patients. The Day Oncology Unit is located at our modern hospital facility in Noble Park, Victoria.
What you'll be doing
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients receiving chemotherapy and other day oncology treatments
- Administer medications, monitor patient vital signs, and provide symptom management
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised patient care plans
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
What we're looking for
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an acute oncology or medical-surgical nursing setting
- Strong clinical skills in medication administration, patient monitoring, and symptom management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate,
patient-centred care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
