About the role

We are currently looking to fill 2 positions.

1). Full-time Heavy Combination driver position with Fresh Freight Tasmania, either Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday with the prospect for overtime and public holiday work.

2). Full-time night driver between Devonport and Hobart Monday to Friday with the opportunity for overtime and public holiday work.

Fresh Freight Tasmania operates a comprehensive door-to-door freight forwarding service between Tasmania and Mainland Australia specialising in the movement of refrigerated and ambient products.

Key responsibilities

- Pick up and delivery of frozen/chilled and dry stock to customers across southern Tasmania

- Linehaul towing between Devonport / Burnie / Launceston and Hobart of 45ft refrigerated pantechs

- Assist with loading and unloading freight within the warehouse and sometimes customers' sites

- Operate an electric pallet jack if required

- Keep cleanliness and condition of vehicle and equipment to standards required

- Abide by road rules and NHVR and COR regulations

- Maintain the required details on the drivers' worksheet





- Other driving and warehouse duties as assigned by the Supervisor / Manager

About you

- Valid heavy vehicle drivers licence minimum of HC

- Excellent work ethic including being reliable, committed to working and punctual

- Forklift licence is desirable but not essential

- Knowledge of the refrigeration or general transport industry would be an advantage but not essential

- Excellent attitude to safety

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Sound written and verbal communication skills

- Be able to work in a team, within a fast-paced environment

- Strong focus on customer satisfaction
