About the role

Eventum Optimum is a fast-growing Australian business advisory firm specialising in ATO debt resolution, pre-insolvency restructuring and asset protection. We are looking for a Business & Corporate Advisory Consultant to work with business owners, directors, accountants and referral partners to identify financial and commercial risks and deliver practical, tailored advice.

The role helps businesses manage financial pressure, protect business and personal assets, improve cash flow, explore funding options and assess turnaround and restructuring pathways. You will work alongside accountants and other professional advisers as a trusted advisory partner, providing complementary expertise and coordinated client support.

Key responsibilities

- Run initial consultations to understand each client's circumstances, financial challenges, objectives and areas of risk

- Assess client needs and identify suitable advisory pathways

- Develop tailored strategies, action plans and implementation timelines

- Give practical guidance to business owners and directors facing financial or operational challenges

- Support businesses dealing with cash flow constraints, creditor demands or ATO debt

- Identify turnaround and restructuring options, including eligibility for Small Business Restructuring

- Help prepare financial information, supporting documents and strategic recommendations

- Work with accountants, lawyers, registered liquidators and other professionals to reach appropriate outcomes





- Build and maintain relationships with accountants, finance brokers, lawyers, financial institutions and other referral partners

- Represent Eventum Optimum at meetings, networking events and industry activities

About you

- Solid people skills and the confidence to engage business owners, directors and professional advisers

- A self-starter with the drive to find and follow through on new opportunities

- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen

- Understanding of business finance, cash flow, debt management and commercial risk

- Ability to assess complex business situations and identify practical solutions

- Robust analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking skills

- Excellent consultation, communication and relationship-building skills

- Strong written communication, reporting and documentation skills

- Ability to manage multiple client matters and competing priorities

- Experience in business advisory, corporate advisory, management consulting, accounting, finance, banking, commercial lending, business turnaround, restructuring, financial distress advisory, asset protection, secured lending, commercial security arrangements, cash flow management, funding solutions, financial analysis, or working with SMEs and professional referral networks
