As our long-serving technician prepares for retirement, we are seeking a reliable, motivated and hands-on person to join our team.

About the Role

This is a highly autonomous field-based role responsible for maintaining, servicing, auditing, and installing chemical dispensing equipment and warewashing systems at customer sites throughout Sydney.

Most travel is within the Sydney metropolitan area, however occasional regional travel (typically 1-2 days per month) is required.

You will manage a scheduled preventative maintenance program while also responding to the occasional urgent breakdown or service call.

The role reports directly to the Operations Manager and includes a comprehensive handover period of approximately 3-6 months alongside the current technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance of chemical dispensing equipment.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment faults on customer sites.





• Attend breakdown and service call-outs when required.

• Install and commission chemical dispensing systems and associated equipment.

• Conduct dishwasher audits and equipment performance checks.

• Perform chemical concentration and titration testing.

• Carry out machine descaling and routine maintenance activities.

• Complete service reports and compliance documentation using our mobile reporting app.

• Train customer staff on equipment operation and best practice procedures.

• Coordinate new equipment installations alongside our sales team.

• Maintain strong relationships with customer personnel across hospitals, aged care facilities, and other key accounts.

About You

You do not need to be a qualified plumber or electrician.

What is important is that you are practical, mechanically minded, and able to think through problems independently while representing the company professionally at customer sites.

You will likely have experience in a service, maintenance, facilities, handyman, equipment installation, trade assistant, or similar hands-on role.

To succeed in this position, you will have:

• The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• Confidence using a smartphone for reporting and audits.

• A professional and friendly manner when dealing with customers.

Essential Requirements

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

• Ability to obtain a Police Check.

• Full Australian working rights.

• Ability to work autonomously and travel regularly throughout Sydney.
