Chef de Partie (Part-Time)

About the Role

Bar Ricci Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at our premium dining venue in Main Beach, Gold Coast. This is a part-time position suited to a motivated chef who takes pride in delivering exceptional food, maintaining high culinary standards, and contributing to a professional and collaborative kitchen environment.

Working closely with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team, you will take responsibility for your designated section, ensuring consistency, quality, presentation, and efficient service. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the growth of an exciting dining venue.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee your designated kitchen section during preparation and service.

- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to Bar Ricci’s recipes, specifications, and premium standards.

- Maintain consistency in flavour, quality, portioning, and presentation.

- Complete daily mise en place and ensure your section is organised and service-ready.

- Coordinate with the Head Chef, Sous Chef, and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service.

- Monitor stock levels, manage ingredients efficiently, and minimise food waste.

- Assist with stock rotation, labelling, storage, and inventory control.

- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.

- Follow food safety procedures, workplace health and safety requirements, and venue policies.

- Support menu development, seasonal specials, and continuous improvement where appropriate.

- Assist with training and supporting junior kitchen staff as required.

- Maintain a calm, professional, and organised approach during busy service periods.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or a skilled Demi Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.

- Relevant commercial kitchen experience, preferably in premium dining or à la carte restaurants.

- Strong cooking skills,



attention to detail, and a passion for quality ingredients.

- Ability to manage a section independently while working effectively within a team.

- Good organisational, communication, and time-management skills.

- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, stock rotation, and safe food handling practices.

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining consistent standards.

- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

- Flexibility to work agreed part-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

- Relevant culinary qualifications are desirable.
