Sheffield Group

Brisbane

We’re looking for a Territory Manager who knows how to get in-market, build proper commercial relationships, and turn opportunity into growth.

So we’re clear, this is not a role for someone who thinks growth will happen while sitting behind a desk. You’ll be field-based, customer-facing, and expected to be visible across your territory — South East Queensland — with regular customer visits, occasional overnight travel and interstate travel when required for sales meetings, training and connection with the broader Sheffield team.

You’ll be looking after distributor, wholesale and trade customers, while actively chasing new business opportunities and strengthening Sheffield’s market presence across the territory.

Who are we?

Sheffield Group is a fourth-generation, family-owned business with big ambition and a product range that genuinely matters to the trade, construction, industrial and retail markets.

Across brands including Alpha, Sterling, Bristol, Action and Union, we supply cutting, drilling, hand tool and power tool accessory solutions built to make the lives of tradespeople easier.

We’re growing, we’re commercially sharp, and we care deeply about the way we do business. We don’t do corporate theatre. We do high standards, good people, strong relationships, and products we’re proud to put our name behind.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll grow the territory and deliver results. For Sheffield, and for our customers. Simple as that.

You’ll be the go-to person for customers across the territory — visible, reliable and easy to deal with.

You will:

Drive sales growth across your territory in line with agreed targets and priorities.

Build and strengthen relationships with distributor, wholesale and trade customers.

Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities.

Run disciplined customer call cycles,

territory planning and follow-up activity.

Deliver product demonstrations, education and practical support to customers.

Quote, negotiate and close business while maintaining sound pricing and margin discipline.

Keep a close eye on market activity, competitor movement and territory opportunities.

Maintain clear pipeline, customer activity and sales reporting.

Work closely with the National Field Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and wider Sheffield team.

Represent Sheffield’s brands professionally and commercially in-market.

Travel regularly across South East Queensland, with overnight and occasional interstate travel as required.

Who you are

You’re probably already in B2B sales, account management, territory management or business development, ideally around tools, hardware, industrial, building products, trade, wholesale or distributor channels.

You don’t need to know everything about our products on day one, but you do need to be commercially switched on, credible with customers, and hungry to learn.

You are:

Relationship-led, but still very clear that sales is about outcomes.

Comfortable spending real time on the road and in front of customers.

Organised enough to manage a broad territory without needing to be chased.

Reliable and accountable — if you’re given a lead, we don’t need to wonder whether it’s been followed up.

Confident presenting products, demonstrating value and asking for the business.

Commercially aware — revenue, margin,

pricing discipline and customer value matter.

A good communicator who follows through.

Proactive, practical and accountable.

Able to work independently without going rogue.

Skilled, ethical and dependable.

In possession of a current driver licence.

Experience that would help

Helpful, but not all essential:

B2B sales, territory management or business development experience.

Experience with distributor, wholesale, trade, hardware, industrial or building product customers.

Field-based sales experience.

CRM, sales reporting or pipeline management experience.

Product demonstration or trade-facing sales experience.

Familiarity with tools, accessories or adjacent product categories.

Formal qualifications are not the point. Capability, judgement, commercial instinct and fit matter more.

Life with us

You’ll be joining a business with momentum, strong brands, and real expectations.

The good stuff:

A territory with genuine growth opportunity.

Support from experienced national sales leadership and the broader Sheffield business.

Product training and access to deep category knowledge.

A company vehicle.

A culture that is high-trust, practical, ambitious and genuinely people-focused.

The chance to represent brands that are well known, well regarded and still growing.

We’re not looking for someone who wants to hide behind a laptop and send a few follow-up emails.

We’re looking for someone who gets in front of customers, builds trust, spots opportunity, closes business and keeps showing up.

If you’re a commercially sharp sales professional who wants a territory to own and a business with real growth behind it, we’d like to hear from you.

Please note: any offer to a successful applicant may be subject to relevant background checks.
