About 1 Spring Street Hotel & Residences

1 Spring Street Hotel & Residences is an upcoming 50-room residence located at One Spring Street, Elizabeth Quay.

As we prepare to open, we are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to join our founding team and help create a polished, welcoming and memorable guest experience from day one.

About the Role

You will oversee the day-to-day operation of the 50-room residence, including guest services, housekeeping and restaurant service. You will lead pre-opening readiness, establish operational procedures and build a high-performing, guest-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead pre-opening setup, operating procedures, service trials and team readiness.
- Oversee daily residence operations, including guest services, housekeeping and restaurant service.
- Recruit, train, coach and lead operational team members.
- Maintain high standards of guest service, presentation, cleanliness, safety and guest satisfaction.
- Manage guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
- Prepare and manage rosters, labour costs,



stock control and operational expenses.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, RSA and liquor licensing requirements.

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

- Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Residence Manager, Hotel Manager or senior hospitality leader.
- Strong experience in accommodation, guest services, housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
- Pre-opening experience is highly regarded.
- A hands-on, visible and supportive leadership style.
- Robust people leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Sound commercial understanding, including labour management and cost control.
- Current RSA certification; Approved Manager and food safety experience are advantageous.
