With projects across the Sydney Metropolitan region, we have a strong and growing team delivering some of Sydney’s prominent high-rise residential and commercial developments.

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to take ownership of the HR function across the business. This is a stand-alone HR management role, supported by an HR Administrator, and provides the opportunity to work closely with senior management, project teams and employees across all levels of the business.

n

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced HR professional who enjoys being close to the business, understands the construction environment and can provide practical advice across employee relations, industrial relations and day-to-day HR matters.

About the role

n

Reporting to senior management, you will have responsibility for managing and developing the HR function across Parkview, including:

n

n
- Providing practical and commercially focused HR advice to managers, project teams and employees
n
- Managing employee relations and industrial relations matters from start to finish
n
- Managing performance, investigations, disciplinary processes and workplace issues
n
- Overseeing recruitment and workforce planning across projects and head office
n
- Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies, procedures and initiatives
n
- Managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding through to exit
n




- Supporting employee engagement, development and retention initiatives
n
- Managing remuneration and salary review processes
n
- Maintaining compliance with employment legislation, modern awards and enterprise agreements
n
- Working closely with project teams to understand workforce requirements and provide practical HR solutions
n
- Supporting workplace health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
n
- Managing HR reporting, systems and continuous improvement
n
- Taking ownership of HR projects and initiatives that support the broader business
n
- Leading, mentoring and developing the HR Administrator, providing day-to-day guidance and helping build their HR knowledge and capability
n
- Delegating appropriate HR administration responsibilities while maintaining oversight of the overall HR function

About you

n

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who:

n

n
- Has solid HR management experience, ideally within the construction or related industry
n
- Holds a qualification in Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline
n
- Has strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations
n
- Is confident managing employee and industrial relations matters independently
n




- Has experience working with modern awards and/or enterprise agreements
n
- Is comfortable dealing directly with senior management, project leaders and employees at all levels
n
- Has a practical, hands-on approach to HR
n
- Is capable of operating independently and taking ownership of the HR function
n
- Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
- Is organised, commercially minded and able to manage competing priorities
n
- Is prepared to challenge the status quo and provide clear, practical advice when required
n
- Enjoys working in a quick-paced construction environment and being part of the day-to-day business
n
