Simmons Civil is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious EWP Operator / Spotter to join our team in Gladstone, QLD. Your primary focus will be on maintaining site safety, operating an EWP, assisting with general labouring duties, and providing spotting services to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with site requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Provide spotting services and operating mobile plant and equipment, ensuring safe movement and operations on-site
- Perform general labouring duties including site preparation, material handling, and debris removal
- Maintain clear communication with equipment operators and site personnel using radio communications
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and report hazards and unsafe conditions
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of work areas and equipment
- Maintain housekeeping standards and keep work areas clean and organised

What we're looking for





- Proven experience working as a Labourer / Spotter / EWP Operator in industrial, construction, or civil settings
- White Card (Construction Induction Card)
- EWP ticket / high risk work licence
- 3-site Medipass - Yellow (highly desirable)
- Gladstone site inductions (highly desirable)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour duties
- Reliability and punctuality, with a positive attitude towards work
- Current manual driver's licence and vehicle to get to work is essential
