Claims Specialist | North Sydney | $90K–$100K + Super

Two to three years into your claims career and ready to make more of the decisions yourself?

We’re partnering with a growing specialist insurer that is investing heavily in its people, technology and future growth. This role is a genuine step up. You’ll own a portfolio of around 100 property or motor claims from lodgement through to settlement, including recoveries, and build your own delegated authority as you prove yourself.

You’ll be offered structured training and onboarding, working alongside a fantastic, supportive team, with plenty of room to progress.

As a Claims Specialist, you will:

- Manage a portfolio of approximately 100 property or motor claims end to end, from lodgement through to settlement and recoveries
- Investigate claims, interpret policy wording and assess coverage
- Make commercially balanced decisions within your delegated authority, building that authority over time
- Negotiate settlements and determine liability and exclusions
- Handle a mix of claims, from straightforward matters through to complex property losses
- Build strong relationships with brokers, customers and external stakeholders, including regional brokers
- Work collaboratively with Underwriting and the wider business
- Deliver fair,



efficient and customer-focused outcomes

What We’re Looking For

- 2–3 years’ General Insurance claims experience, ideally in property or motor
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confidence to make decisions and manage competing priorities
- A curious, open mind and a keenness to learn across property, motor and farm-related claims

Recoveries experience isn’t required. Full training is provided.
