The Opportunity

As our Senior Paralegal in Commercial Recoveries and Litigation, you’ll be the technical specialist behind our commercial recovery team: preparing and improving litigation documents, strengthening file strategy, coaching collectors and building the playbooks that make good recovery decisions repeatable.

You’ll report directly to our Operations Manager, who leads the team and manages performance and day-to-day operations. Your focus is technical delivery: you’re the person the team comes to when a file gets complicated, and you’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to do the drafting and detailed file work.

NCS is a debt collection agency. You’ll work closely with our external solicitors, who provide legal advice, settle documents and conduct proceedings, while you prepare documents and evidence, coordinate matters and keep files ready for the next step.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical guidance on complex, disputed, high-value and litigation-sensitive commercial debts, identifying issues for external solicitor advice.
- Review recovery strategy,



legal referral readiness, settlement options and enforcement pathways with commercial outcomes in mind.
- Personally prepare and quality-check draft claims, affidavits, supporting court documents, evidence bundles and instructions for external solicitor review and settling.
- Coordinate filing and service with external solicitors, track deadlines and keep litigation, judgment and enforcement matters moving.
- Support insolvency recovery matters, including statutory demands, bankruptcy and winding-up processes, alongside our external legal partners.
- Coach collectors on evidence, file preparation, litigation processes and technical recovery practice.
- Conduct targeted file audits and turn recurring issues into better processes, checklists and training.
- Maintain and improve our recovery playbooks, templates and document preparation workflows, using technology and AI thoughtfully.

What We’re Looking For

An experienced senior paralegal or legal executive with substantial, recent hands‑on commercial debt recovery and litigation experience. Strong Queensland experience is particularly valuable.

You’ll need to show us the court documents you have personally drafted, the matters you have progressed through judgment or enforcement, and how you keep evidence and deadlines under control. A law degree is not essential; practical experience and accurate document production are.





We want someone who can look at a file and explain what should happen next, why, what it is likely to cost, what evidence is missing and when external solicitor input is needed. Wincollect experience is welcome, but relevant experience with other case management systems is transferable.
