About the role

n

Carejobz is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse with genuine ophthalmic scrub/scout experience for a private hospital in Kingswood, within Sydney's Nepean Health Precinct.

n

The hospital operates four theatres and a 12-bed ward for overnight stays when required. Ophthalmology makes up the main surgical workload, alongside a varied range of other specialties.

n

This is a permanent part-time opportunity for a nurse who can contribute confidently in the scrub/scout role and work across the hospital's two shift patterns, with starts at 6:30am and 11:00am.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Scrubbing and scouting for ophthalmic surgical lists
n
- Preparing and maintaining the sterile field, instruments and equipment for each case
n
- Anticipating surgeon and procedural requirements during ophthalmic cases
n
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary theatre team
n
- Supporting safe, productive patient flow across a busy day-surgery environment
n




- Contributing across other surgical specialties where your verified experience supports it
n

What you'll need

n

n
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- At least one year of Scrub & Scout nursing experience
n
- Demonstrable ophthalmic scrub/scout experience - essential
n
- Current eligibility to work in Australia
n
- Availability to work the required shift patterns, including the later 11:00am start
n
- National Criminal Record Check
n
- Working with Children Check
n
- Strong clinical judgement, safe work practices and a cooperative approach
n
