Miss Chief Bar and Eatery is seeking a talented sous chef for an immediate start to join our small kitchen crew in a busy city based restaurant.

We offer a variety of Asian inspired tapas dishes with a focus on using good quality ingredients and delivering an experience for customers to remember.

The position is based on a 38-40 hour, 4day working week, with the need of possible extra hours during peak trade periods or to cover holidays , sick day's etc.

Award rates paid with staff meals included.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Friendly, positive and team players
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is required
- A long-term commitment is required for a minimum of 1 year, 2 years preferred




- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
- Must be well organised and be able to work well under pressure
- Ability to work in a quick paced kitchen and be very confident at working solo
- Pro-active attitude and reliability
- Strong food knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- South East Asian cuisine experience a bonus
- Permanent/long term residents ONLY
- No 88dayers or sponsorship applicants will be considered
- Must speak fluent English

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Overseeing all kitchen operations on a weekly basis
- Working closely alongside the other chef & directors with menu ideas
- Ordering of stock and ensuring stock rotation protocols are followed
