The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

- Install, commission, service, maintain, diagnose and repair industrial gas systems and Type B gas appliances.
- Undertake electrical installation, maintenance, testing and fault finding associated with gas-fired and industrial plant, where appropriately licensed.
- Service and maintain burners, boilers, thermal oil heaters, furnaces, process heaters and other industrial combustion equipment.
- Install, inspect, test and maintain gas trains, regulators, valves, pressure controls, consumer gas pipework and associated equipment.
- Diagnose faults across electrical, gas, combustion, instrumentation and control systems, including burner management, flame safeguard, ignition, gas detection, safety circuits and interlocks.
- Undertake combustion testing, burner setup, gas pressure testing, tightness testing, purging and commissioning in accordance with applicable requirements.
- Fault-find motors, contactors, relays, VSDs, sensors, actuators and associated control equipment where within licence and competency.
- Interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs;,



control drawings, gas train drawings and manufacturer technical documentation.
- Assist with PLC, HMI and instrumentation fault finding and Type B appliance inspections, upgrades, modifications and compliance activities within competency.
- Provide technical support during breakdowns, shutdowns, commissioning and project works and identify practical recommendations for repair or improvement.
- Complete service reports, test records and commissioning documentation and assist with scopes of work, material requirements and estimates.
- Work collaboratively with engineers, electricians, instrumentation technicians, apprentices, clients and contractors, including mentoring less experienced personnel where appropriate.
- Ensure work complies with applicable electrical and gas legislation, Australian Standards, manufacturer and client requirements, Kalgas procedures and HSEQ/ISO systems.
