We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Yard Operator & Sales Consultant to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role combining forklift operations, customer service, trade sales, stock management, and occasional deliveries. If you enjoy working both outdoors and with customers, this is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within the building supplies industry.

About the Role

No two days are the same. You'll be the link between our yard operations and customer service team, ensuring customers receive outstanding service while maintaining an efficient, safe, and organised yard.

Key Responsibilities

Yard Operations & Logistics

- Safely operate forklifts to load and unload roofing materials
- Assist trade customers and homeowners with material collection
- Receive and inspect incoming stock deliveries
- Organise and maintain stock storage areas for efficient access and presentation
- Maintain a clean, organised,



and safe yard environment
- Provide product advice and recommendations to trade and retail customers
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and in person
- Prepare quotes and process customer orders
- Process invoices and payments through point-of-sale systems
- Build strong relationships with roofing contractors, builders, and repeat customers
- Deliver a professional and friendly customer experience

About You

- Current Australian Forklift Licence
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Physically fit and capable of regular lifting (20–25kg)
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience in roofing supplies or trade retail
- Experience working in a warehouse, yard, or logistics environment
- Knowledge of roofing tiles, products and materials
- Experience in trade counter, customer service, or sales roles
