Bedrock Workforce is looking for Estimators across civil, commercial and residential construction to join a range of our clients on permanent roles throughout Sydney and NSW. Our clients include tier 2 and 3 builders, specialist civil and demolition contractors and quality residential builders, all with strong pipelines and plenty of tenders on the table.

Whether your background is roads, earthworks, demolition and remediation, commercial fit-outs and mid-rise, or custom homes and multi-res, we have roles that match your experience.

What you’ll be doing

- Reviewing tender documents, drawings and specifications to understand scope and risk
- Preparing accurate quantity take-offs and detailed cost estimates
- Sourcing, comparing and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Preparing and submitting competitive tenders, including methodology, programmes and qualifications
- Where relevant, coordinating the full bid process: tender registers, timelines, bid teams and submission documents
- Attending site inspections and tender meetings, and building strong relationships with clients and subbies
- Handing over successful projects to the delivery team and supporting cost planning and variations

What you’ll need

- Proven experience as an Estimator (or a Cost Planner / QS / Contract Administrator ready to step up) in civil, commercial or residential construction
- A robust understanding of construction methods, materials and costs in your sector
- Confidence using estimating and take-off software (Cubit, CostX, Buildxact, Bluebeam, Planswift or similar)




- High attention to detail with solid numerical, analytical and report-writing skills
- Good working knowledge of contracts, the NCC and relevant Australian Standards
- Construction-related tertiary qualification (Building, Civil Engineering or QS) highly regarded; current driver’s licence essential
- Bonus: Experience in bid management, including managing tender pipelines, coordinating bid teams and writing winning submissions and capability statements
